Over time, the Catholic voice and perspective has been progressively diminished in the media and culture. Today, the art and entertainment that influences lives is often found in digital formats and platforms; but Catholics are seldom represented well, if at all. We are driven to challenge this situation and believe the talent and creativity of over 1.3 billion Catholics can positively influence the world. Our goal is to help present Catholic stories, lives, and ideas, in an inspirational and authentic way.
We are casting a wide net to find people who have been overlooked by corporate media and empower them to create great content using an entrepreneurial approach. The Catholic Media Initiative endeavors to support teachers, innovators, entertainers, artists, writers, producers, and film makers, to engage the culture using all of the technology and distribution platforms available.
